Discussion Board: Proposal for UCA Iug Booth at CIGRE 2010

Body

Hi Ralph,

Nice to hear you help with the UCA booth. We will need to prepare a schedule who and when will be manning the booth.

Answering your questions, yes the scheduling and content of the presentation room be visible and promoted at the UCA Iug booth. In fact we plan to create a leaflet "UCA Iug at CIGRE 2010" that will not only contain the description of the booth but also will contain detailed schedule of presentations, names of presenters and instructions how to get to the room. Obviously any sponsor will also be able to promote himself and his participation in UCA Iug activities by informing its customers about UCA booth and UCA Iug presentations.

I don´t think a purely commercial presentation is a good idea. Sponsors shall prepare the content that is related to technologies covered by UCA Iug. The booth concept proposal that we placed on this site contains several preferential topics. Anyhow we are open for new topics proposals. Once the sponsors submit their content before CIGRE the UCA Iug Marketing committee should review and send feedback to authors and comments in case any modifications are suggested.

Regards
Maciej

Fist: Thank you very much Maciej and Salomey. This is excellent work and I appreciate your efforts. I will do my best to help you in this activity also.

I have some questions about the presentation room available to the Diamond and Platinum sponsorships:

Will the scheduling and content of the presentation room be visible and promoted within the booth (or, will the diamond/platinum sponsor be solely responsible for any promotional activity required to bring people to the presentation room)?

Is there any restriction on the use of the presentation room? Do the presentations there have to be related to topics applicable to UCAIug activities? Is a purely commerical presentation OK as long as the sponsor is a UCAIug member?
