Wednesday afternoon (4 hours): Details of UCAIug testing for general public

  • Review of morning session (for people now attending morning)
  • 61850 Conformance testing
    • Why we do both static and dynamic tests; positive and negative tests
    • Derivation of Conformance Building Blocks (CBBs)
    • Need for abstract tests: who generates these tests
    • TPCLs (Test Procedure Change Lists)
    • Detailed tests: call for domain expert volunteers
  • Tester Accreditation procedure: initial and periodic accreditation
  • Input documents for device certification
    • ICD file
    • PICS/PIXIT/MICS/TICS
  • Interoperability vs. Conformance: need for both
    • Example of conformance failure: mandatory Data Objects not in Logical Node
    • Example of IOP failure: cannot read files using directory services
  • Prioritization of future work
    • List examples of possible future work
    • Provide basic “degree of difficulty”
    • Call for “low-hanging fruit” (quick outputs of critical needs)
    • Long-term planning of future work
